摘要：

A simple effective synthesis of 3, 4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one/thione derivatives using Aluminium sulphate (Al-2(SO4)(3)center dot 18H(2)O) catalyst from aromatic aldehydes, 1, 3-dicarbonyl compounds & (thio) urea in glacial acetic acid is described. Compared with the classical Biginelli reaction conditions, this new method has the advantage of excellent yield and short reaction time.
