A portion of the phase equilibrium diagram for the ternary system Na2O-BaO-Nb2O5 has been determined around the compound barium sodium niobate (nominally Ba2NaNb5O15). The compound shows a very large solid-solution range in the Nb2O5-rich region while the congruently melting composition occurs in the cation-rich region. © 1969.
