ELASTIC-WAVES IN A MAGNETIZED TRANSVERSELY ISOTROPIC MEDIUM

摘要
The dispersion of the natural waves in a transversely isotropic medium, magnetized along the axis of symmetry, is obtained by introducing dynamic moduli of elasticity. The form of the elasticity tensor of such a medium is determined. It is shown that magnetization changes the polarization of the natural waves. Rotation of the plane of polarization and ellipticity of the ultrasound are possible in a magnetized transversely isotropic medium.
