摘要
Wasps were introduced into New Zealand from Europe after the Second World War Because of the favourable climatic conditions and lack of any of their native associated parasites or predators, wasps have thrived in their new environment to the detriment of indigenous species and honey bees. This article reviews the situation in New Zealand, and outlines the steps taken to control this now serious pest.
