摘要
Assessment of the quality of life and the efficacy of orthopedic procedures by using specific questionnaires is critical in the field of orthopedic surgery. The Banff Patella Instability Instrument (BPII) 2.0 has been shown to be a valid and reliable instrument for patients who present with patellofemoral instability. For the validation of the German version, a sample of 64 patients was investigated with confirmed diagnoses of recurrent patellofemoral instability in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The test-retest reliability and internal consistency (Cronbachs alpha) were excellent. Statistically significant correlations between the Banff 2.0 were observed with the Kujala score, Norwich Patella Instability (NPI) score, the SF-36 and a visual analog (VAS) scale for pain and disability. The German version of the Banff 2.0 can be recommended to German-speaking professionals for the evaluation of patients who present with patellofemoral instability.
