摘要
An internal project currently in progress at Ifremer to improve understanding of impact response of composite is described. The objective of the project are: 1) to develop a test facility to study impact loading of sandwich panels; 2) to develop a simple predictive analysis for dynamic response; 3) to study ways of improving composite impact performance. The material described is a PVC foam core sandwich panel which has been used as a model material in the development work.
