摘要：
A survey of quantum-statistical models currently applied in double layer theory is presented. The criteria of classification of the molecular models and their division onto some groups have been proposed. The known paradoxes of these models such as polarization catastrophe and Rice's paradox are analysed. Future prospects of the model approaches are also proposed.
