摘要：
The article presents the main linguistic approaches to the study of the semantics of prepositions. The spatial prepositions are of particular interest. One should note that the article contains not only current approaches, but approaches used previously in traditional linguistics. As part of the analysis of the approaches, their advantages and disadvantages were identified.
