摘要
In this article, destrincam are some contributions of Paulo Freire's thought regarding democracy and language in order to: understand democracy, democratization and democratic practices, according to the notes of the teacher in question; discuss the transition of human ingenuity to the criticality, as a condition for the participation of subjects in democratic practices; and understand the vision of Freire about reading and writing, formative processes intertwined. Detachment in a meta-analysis, by Freire by Freire, well as the removal of an analysis limited to Freire by others, anchored in the work of the author himself (FREIRE, 1996; 2005a; among others) and authors in the field of language (BAGNO, 2002a; 2002b; TRAVAGLIA, 2011, among others) and the field of education (GIROUX, 1997; COUTINHO, 1979, among others). Are brought some points considered essential for understanding educational practice (which is not neutral). and in this learning to read and write by a critical bias. as an open door to the passage of the impetus transformer.
