A NEW-TYPE OF TEMPERATURE-COMPENSATED BIREFRINGENT OPTICAL-FIBER

摘要
A new type of temperature compensated birefringent optical fiber has been proposed by using titanium as codopant. This fiber is found to have optimal operating wavelength near 1.55 mum communication window. The temperature sensitivity of 8.77 x 10(-5)/-degrees-C has been achieved.
