摘要
The optical properties of bulk Co3O4 obtained by ceramic or sol-gel methods are similar to those of films formed by reactive nebulization or thermal oxidation of cobalt. The optical properties of Co3O4 in the range 0.45-5 eV are due to intense ligand field absorptions of Co2+ and low-spin Co3+ in tetrahedral and octahedral sites, respectively, and to charge transfer processes between Co2+ and Co3+ and from oxide ligands to Co2+ ions.
