Vascular Hamartoma of Broad Ligament: A Rare Case Report

Introduction Vascular hamartomas are focal disordered overgrowth of mature tissue. These are benign lesions that may occur at any site in the body, but those of female pelvis are rare. Case Report A 30 -year -old nulliparous patient presented to us with complain of gradual distension of abdomen. On examination abdomen was tense and distended. Bimanual pelvic examination revealed a mass in right posterior fornix which was extending into the abdomen. The combined morphologic and immunohistochemical profile supported a diagnosis of vascular hamartoma of broad ligament. Conclusion To the best of our knowledge, the case we report here, is the first description of vascular hamartoma of the broad ligament in humans.
