摘要
The major melatonin metabolite, 6-hydroxymelatonin, has been identified in normal human urine by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (gc-ms) after rapid acid hydrolysis, extraction, and derivatization. An estimate of the amount detected (approximately 20 ng/ml) is consistent with calculated rates of melatonin synthesis and turnover. © 1979.
