摘要
Homer's syndrome is a rare oculosympathetic lesion that occurs as a complication of obstetric epidural analgesia-anesthesia. The clinical course is benign for both the mother and fetus. The incidence of this entity increases when this technique is applied in obstetric procedures, due to the anatomical and physiological modifications associated with pregnancy, which favor greater spread of the local anesthetic. This syndrome is often unrecognized, as clinical manifestations are frequently mild. The prognosis is favorable and resolution is spontaneous. These characteristics should be taken into account to avoid unnecessary interventions. (C) 2008 Elsevier Espana, S.L. All rights reserved.
