摘要
Specialty tomato varieties are an alternative production option due to their price, demand, taste and nutritional content, but there is little research on their greenhouse production. The objective was to estimate the yield of four traditional tomato varieties produced in a multi-span greenhouse with mulch, in the 2015 spring-summer cycle. The Brandywine, Striped German, Pruden's Purple and Valencia varieties were planted in beds with white, gray and black mulch, and without mulch. In fruit yield there were differences (p <= 0.01) among mulches, with the white mulch outperforming the gray one by 26.43% and the treatment without mulch by 16.42%; significant differences (p <= 0.05) among varieties were found, with the Brandywine variety surpassing Pruden's Purple by 16.28%. The Brandywine tomato variety with white mulch was the best option for greenhouse production.
