摘要:
Microwave assisted cyclization of several 2-thenoylbenzoic acids 2 catalysed with clays in dry media is studied. Some clays were tested and Monmorillonite K-10, free of quarz and feldspar, was shown to be an effective catalyst for their easy conversion into the corresponding heterocyclic fused quinone in good yields. A specific effect of microwave irradiation accelerating the reaction with respect to conventional heating in the same conditions is observed.
