ELECTRONIC-STRUCTURE OF THE C(2X2) AND P(2X2) OXYGEN OVERLAYERS ON NI(100)

摘要
The electronic structure of the c(2 × 2) and p(2 × 2) oxygen overlayers on Ni(100) is investigated in the tight-binding approximation. The local densities of states on the O overlayer and the Ni surface for both overlayers show the existence of a broad level centred about 5 eV below the Fermi level and an induced resonant states near the bottom of the Ni d band. These features are in agreement with photoemission spectra. © 1979.
