摘要
Glycogen in fixed corneal endothelium was readily demonstrable by means of acetic anhydride-dimethyl sulfoxide oxidation and subsequent reaction with Schiff's reagent. While the particulate endothelial glycogen may also be demonstrated in sections oxidized by periodic acid and lead tetraacetate, the amount of Schiff positive glycogen was markedly reduced. It is concluded that corneal endothelium contains glycogen and that it may be a moiety of relatively low molecular weight. © 1979.
