CONSERVATIVE MANAGEMENT OF SPONTANEOUS CIRCUMFLEX ARTERY DISSECTION

Spontaneous coronary dissection is a rare clinic condition, probably underdiagnosed cause of acute coronary syndromes and sudden death. The widespread use of cardiac catheterism helps to identify more cases in this context. The etiology, the pathogenesis of this condition, the optimal treatment approach and prognosis are uncertain, with doubts about what to do in these cases. We describe the case of a 58-yearold woman with no cardiovascular risk factors or other relevant history, who consulted for chest pain of 2 hour duration, her follow up, spontaneous closure of the spontaneous coronary dissection revealed by multslice computer tomography, and favorable long-term results with conservative tretment.
