摘要
This study reports data from isometric tests of elbow flexion and trunk extension strengths that showed: (1) muscles significantly resisted forces only through active contraction and not through passive mechanisms; (2) when configuration was controlled, assistive maneuvers did not increase elbow flexion strengths, nor did leg lift strengths exceed back lift strengths; and (3) passive joint moment resistance was negligible in situations of heavy exertion. © 1979.
