摘要
In this article was report on a bibliometric and sociometric study in which we looked at the profile and pattern of growth of publication on the topics of Corporate Governance and Stakeholders in international journals during the period of 1990 to 2011. Two hundred and eighty-six articles were identified. Results reveal an increase in studies since 2003. Filatotchev, Rose and Miller were found to be the most prolific authors, while Jensen and Meckling, and Donaldson and Preston are the most cited researchers. The co-authoring network showed low intensity of interaction, but there was centrality of the co-citation network. A certain integration of the two topics was observed, in that good practices of corporate governance are seen to have a direct relationship with Stakeholder Theory and vice versa. Overall, this study contributes to a better understanding of the topics Corporate Governance and Stakeholders and how they relate to one another, as seen in international academic journals.
