摘要
This article describes injuries that occur during pregnancy in general and pelvic trauma in particular, emphasizing injuries causing pelvic ring fractures during pregnancy. These fractures are associated with a high rate of maternal mortality and increased fetal mortality. Treatment is usually the same as in non-pregnant patients. Because these lesions are associated with other injuries, their management requires a multidisciplinary approach. Surgery is only occasionally required during pregnancy, but must be performed when necessary. Finally, pelvic fractures are not an absolute contraindication to vaginal delivery.
