摘要：

The article studies the problems and prospect of Yamal's complex development, it being one of the most important polar regions of Russia, with reference to a revision of the complex academic History of Yamal, analyzing the role the studies of history and humanities play in the formation of national regional policy and regional socio-cultural identity of the region's locals.
