The Principles of Hologram Formation in Capillary Composites

摘要
A method is suggested for analyzing the optical properties of a light-sensitive capillary composite on the basis of porous glass and the holograms recorded in it. This method takes into account the collective effects associated with the nonuniform distribution of micropores in the sample bulk and the distribution of the light-sensitive phase in micropores. Analytical expressions are obtained for the level of light scattering of the hologram and the partial components of the gratings resulting from the spatial modulation of different parameters of the composite. It is shown that the level of light scattering on the composite can be lowered not only by its immersion, but also by increasing the refractive index of the light-sensitive phase. The predicted mechanisms of the formation of the hologram structure are implemented experimentally, and the partial components of the grating attributable to these mechanisms are determined.
