ON THE INTERACTION OF COSMIC STRINGS WITH GRAVITATIONAL-WAVES

摘要：

A more precise analysis of the singular structure of some spacetimes recently studied by Frolov and Garfinkle is presented. In particular, we show that the curvature of the Frolov-Garfinkle metric for a travelling cosmic string has on top of the conic singularity a non-scalar or intermediate singularity. A metric that represents a string in an accelerated spacetime is exhibited.
