摘要
A high-efficiency low-profile 30-W power supply module suitable for telecommunications systems, such as ISDN, has been developed. A simple MOSFET synchronous rectifier reduces loss by 18% and raises the efficiency by 2% compared to a Schottky diode rectifier. The result is an overall efficiency of 90% at 5 V and 6 A rated output. A low-profile E core and planar windings achieve a flat transformer with a height of 5.5 mm. This results in a module with a height of 7.2 mm and volume of 37 cm3, which is haff the size of a conventional module using natural convection cooling.
