摘要:
Polyethylenglycoldimethacrylate (PEGMA) is the main component of various Loctite(R) products used as anaerobic sealants in metal manufacturing. A 51-year-old engineer developed hand eczema after contact with Loctite products. Patch tests showed strong reactions to different Loctite products and PEGMA. Cross reactions to resins from commercial acrylate and methylacrylate series were observed. With regard to the possibility of active sensitization against acrylates by patch tests, a test concentration of max. 1 % in pet. seems adequate to prove allergic contact dermatitis from PEGMA.
