The Eastern church is part of the universal church which lives its faith (spiritual patrimony and liturgy - sacraments, discipline and theology) in a way that has to do with one of the five great Eastern traditions (Antioqian, Alexandrian, Constantinople, Caldeian and Armenian), and contains, or are capable to contain several diocesan communities gathered hierarchically under a guide of a common leader (Patriarch, Major Archbishop or Metropolitan) elected legitimately and in communion with Rome, who, with his proper synod, is the major superior for all the administrative, legislative and judiciary issues of the same community.
