摘要
In this short contribution I will first briefly present the document Orientamenti per l'apprendimento della filosofia nella societa della conoscenza (MIUR, October 2017). I will address the interdisciplinarity emerging from the ongoing dialogue between philosophy and other disciplines, this dialogue is possible, in my view, because philosophy is fundamentally polyglot. I will then discuss the role and the importance of philosophy in interpreting the social-political changes and the crisis of traditional social values characterizing our time. Philosophy can integrate with frontier scientific research, constituting a point of balance in the complex dialectic between democracy and development. In this sense it is necessary to reflect on the curriculum of the study of philosophy in order to align it with the dynamics and the values of our contemporaneity and the processes of innovation.
