摘要
Infrared reflection-adsorption spectra (IRAS) were taken from Au and Pt electrode surfaces which had been immersed from electrolytes containing the redox system Fe(CN)//6**3** minus **/**4** minus . The IRAS results show that the coverage of the electrodes with redox ions is smaller than has been suggested in the literature; strong specific adsorption of the redox ions was in no case detected. However, it is demonstrated that particularly in slightly acidic and in NH//4** plus containing electrolytes Prussian blue layers are formed on the electrodes.
