摘要
Composite materials of solid lubricants such as graphite, MoS2, WS2, etc., and metals are used as electric sliding contacts. However, few reports on the detailed characteristics of these composite materials have been made so far. In this paper, to satisfy the broad market requirements and, in addition to the Cu-Nb system reported previously, four newly developed and new commercialized types of Cu-Sn system materials are investigated. As a result, it was found that the composite material Cu-Nb system is superior to the Cu-Sn system and it is clarified that both contact resistance and the coefficient of friction could be made lower in composite materials containing exclusively WS2 and free of MoS2.
