An Approach to the Bio-Ethical Dilemmas of Illness and Death Based on an Exercise of Cinematographic Analysis

摘要
This article presents the hermeneutical perspective regarding the bio-ethical dilemmas about illness and death, taking as reference three movies: The Bucket List (Director: Rob Reiner), My Life Without Me (Director: Isabel Coixet) and My Sister's Keeper (Director: Nick Cassavetes). We present here the analysis of narrations and semiotic aspects found in this works, using compilation cards of important aspects of this movies and of the bibliographical tracking. We found that the subjects most depicted by these directors are the fear to death and to illness, the mourning process and the uncertainty about the future, these are very-existentialist aspects which were interpreted based on humanistic, ethical and psycho-social approaches, demonstrating the validity of the use of film works as a methodical support for the study of this subjects which are interesting from bioethical point of view.
