摘要：

Description of a new species of Melita, M. dulcicola n.sp. (Amphipoda), discovered in a well fed by fresh ground water on the island of La Gomera in the Canary archipelago. This is the third limnic, oculate malacostracan crustacean becoming known from the Canary Islands, and it is the third species of Melita (with world-wide over 65 marine or brackish-water species) recorded from fresh waters.
