摘要
An ultrasound scan is recommended for the investigation of post-cholecystectomy symptoms. In two patients ultrasound scan reported a persistent gall-bladder following laparoscopic cholecystectomy. ERCP identified a choledochal cyst in one and no abnormality in the other. Failure to detect choledochal cysts is equally likely following laparoscopic and open surgery, and ERCP should be considered the investigation of choice for recurrent symptoms following cholecystectomy.
