Descriptions are given of Taukumia Kazenas, gen.n. and T.budrysi Kazenas, sp.n. from the Sarytaukum desert. The new genus is referred to the Ammoplanina subtribe and differs from the other genera of the same subtribe by three submarginal cells the second of which is stalk-like, and an almost normal (not enlarged) pterostigma. The Taukumia genus shows that the subfamilies Pemphredoninae and Philanthinae are related via the Eremiaspheciini tribe.
