摘要
This paper considers the modelling of NO(x) formation during pulverized coal combustion with a view to developing low-NO(x) combustors and some aspects of the gasification of pulverized coal. The approach is based on the availability and ease of use of information for computational modelling of combustion chambers and particularly NO(x) formation. The approach taken is that a sufficiently low level of NO(x) emissions can be achieved by careful combustor design without the significant use of flue gas clean-up processes such as SCR or SNCR.
