摘要：
The cosmic microwave background spectrum supports the idea of a pre-galactic generation of stars. The distortions of the background spectrum from a black body can be due to emission by dust if a modest fraction of the mean cosmological density is present as silicate particles at epochs corresponding to redshift z ≳ 100. Whether the entire background can be explained as emission from dust is investigated. © 1979 Nature Publishing Group.
