ALLAH IS NOT OBLIGED BY AHMADOU KOUROUMA OR A DISTRESSED CHILDHOOD

War occupies an important place in Ahmadou Kourouma's Allah nest pas oblige. It explains in its way, the setbacks that force children to distress. The problem raised here in all its fullness is that of children's violence which makes utopian all aspiration for freedom. Therefore, this paper shows that the Ivorian writer's novel gives us a strange and terrifying story about an era of massacre where children are sad heroes. We could say that in this absurd universe, children feel their way in the dark and rudely bump at each step. It will finally appear that this switch from hope to distress and from desperate wisdom to blindness urges children to cast a nihilistic look at their existential condition.
