The aim of this research is to examine the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of Short Muslim Practice and Belief Scale (SMPBS; AlMarri, Oei & Al-Adawi, 2009). Participants were 137 persons. Results of confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated that this scale yielded two factors (social problems and personal problems), as original form (x(2)= 53.97, df= 25, RMSEA=.092, NFI; =.96, NNFI=..97, SRMR=.047, CFI=.98, IFI=.98, GFI=.92, SRMR=.053). The factor loadings ranged from.67 to.90, corrected item-total correlations ranged from.62 to.87. Cronbach alpha internal consistency reliability coefficients of the scale were.90 for related social beliefs and prayers subscale,.86 for personal related individual beliefs and prayers subscale, and.91 for overall scale. Thus Short Muslim Practice and Belief Scale can be used as a valid and reliable instrument
