3-WAY DIFFERENTIATION OF SISTER CHROMATIDS IN 5-BROMODEOXYURIDINE-SUBSTITUTED CHROMOSOMES

摘要
A three-way differentiation pattern is reported in Allium cepa L. chromosomes after Brdu-incorporation for more than two cycle times and subsequent staining by means of the FPG technique. The phenomenon is interpreted as a consequence of partial Brdu-incorporation during the first S phase and full Brdu-substitution throughout the second and third replication rounds, respectively. © 1979 American Genetic Association.
