摘要：
This article, in favor of the resolution that methotrexate (MTX) is the drug of choice after nonsteroidal antiinflammatory treatment, develops the following four points. MTX is an effective treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. MTX is easy to administer and to monitor for effectiveness and safety. MTX has demonstrated a therapeutic to toxic ratio that exceeds that of other second-line antirheumatic drugs. MTX has the potential to impair disease progression. © 1990.
