摘要：

One of the main and oldest dispute resolution mechanisms is arbitration, finding its origins in Greek law, increasing its importance in Roman Law, and currently representing an alternative and effective mechanism versus judicial proceedings. The purpose of this article is to analyse the evolution of arbitration and to note the impact that EU Law may have on the effectiveness of the arbitral award.
