摘要
In 10 patients with essential hypertension 24-h-profiles in blood pressure and heart rate were investigated by ABPM before and at the 7th day of treatment with sustained-release nifedipine (20 mg twice daily). ABPM revealed significant circadian rhythms in blood pressure and heart rate under control conditions as well as during drug treatment. Nifedipine significantly decreased blood pressure during 24 h and increased heart rate. The circadian blood pressure profile was not altered by nifedipine. On the 7th day of treatment serum concentrations of nifedipine and its main metabolite did not display a circadian time dependency.
