摘要
This paper discusses further the new magnetic vector potential finite-element formulation for three-dimensional magnetostatic field analysis. The calculated results by the formulation for the linear soft-iron and coil model are in close agreement with measured values. For the comparison, the same model was calculated by the conventional variational formulation. The divergence of magnetic vector potential A is examined at the node on the boundary of different materials and at the Gaussian quadratural points. It is shown that the gauge condition is determined by the formulation not by the boundary conditions. Computing time and the memory required are compared between the new formulation and that of the conventional formulation. © 1990, IEEE. All rights reserved.
