摘要
Leadership and motivation are two very important factors in any company wishing to consolidate itself strategically in the market today. Thus the objective of this study is to describe and analyze the leadership and motivation in the management strategy of companies in a perspective of improving the performance of people at work. Presents the concepts of leadership and motivation from the perspective of a theoretical framework based on Bergamini, Bowditch and Buono, Chiavenato, Vroom, among others. The corpus was constituted by exploratory, and explanatory literature. The bibliographic permitted to achieve some results that indicate that the motivation of people within the company depends largely on the work of leaders, which should be directed to influence his followers to motivate themselves to achieve their needs, expectations and organizational goals. Therefore, the strategic management of people is one that values its human resources in such a way that its leadership is focused on the development and motivation of its human capital.
