INTERACTION ENERGIES FOR 3-DIMENSIONAL WORMHOLES

摘要
The author considers two pairs of time-symmetric vacuum initial data on asymptotically flat 3-slices with two isometric horizons. There are several ways of extending the manifold to the inside of the apparent horizons to form a complete 3-manifold. The first pair consists of a Misner wormhole in its orientable and non-orientable form respectively. Here, there are no internal infinities. The second pair has internal infinities, disconnected in the first Schwarzschild case and connected in the second Einstein-Rosen case. The author compares their total mass, once their distance and individual mass is fixed.
