摘要
Twenty-five fungi, including representatives from each of the four major classes, were surveyed regarding the pathway employed for spermidine biosynthesis. Two pathways are currently recognized depending on whether the propylamine moiety is derived from methionine or aspartic acid. In each of the fungi studied, radiolabeled methionine was incorporated into spermidine whereas aspartic acid was not. © 1979 Academic Press, Inc. All rights reserved.
