摘要：
A heterocycle, 4-[(1,3-benzothiazol-2-ylimino) methyl] phenyl dodecanoate, was synthesized and its IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, elemental analysis and MS spectroscopic data are presented. This new compound exhibited smectic A phase.
