We report results of Monte Carlo simulations of vortex lines subject to a pinning potential in an anisotropic superconductor, in the presence of vortex loops parallel to the ab-planes, which tend to screen interactions between vortices. We show the influence of these vortex loops on the melting of the disordered lattice.
