摘要
In order to find out the effect of foliar applications of different concentrations of cycocel (CCC), indole butyric acid (IBA) and gibberellic acid (Ga3) on okra and to determine suitable concentration level for obtaining higher yield, a pot culture experiment was conducted. Plant height, length and weight of fruits were reduced in all concentrations of CCC and IBA treatment whereas these characters were positively influenced at all concentrations of GA3 applications. More number of leaves and branches/plant were obtained with CCC treatments, particularly with that of 500 ppm over all levels of IBA and GA3 treatments. 500 ppm CCC and 20 ppm GA3 gave significantly higher number of fruits and yield/plant. However, CCC at 250 ppm and GA3 at 10 and 50 ppm produced increased yield/plant with insignificant variation over control. Application of CCC at 1000 ppm decreased fruit number and yield/plant as compared to control and its other concentration.
